\n After going to the beach or pool and seeing all the girls my age in bikinis, I began to wonder, "Is it possible to NOT wear a bikini and NOT look like an old lady?" It seemed that all the one-pieces available were older lady prints and cuts...or athletic cuts and brands like Speedo. (And I'm not counting a monokini as a one-piece because...well, it's not.) Then, as they have time and time again, ModCloth came to the rescue. When I laid eyes on this Esther Williams gem, I hope and prayed that it would be exactly what I was looking for. And guess what...IT WAS. It's extremely well-made and it's gorgeous! I put on this suit and not only am I transported to a different time and place (a place where I'm sitting poolside and Don Draper is handing me a mint julep), but I'm transformed into a different person. I feel glamorous and sexy. I don't feel like I'm wearing a one-piece because I have something to hide...although IF i did (wink wink), this suit certainly does it. Instead, I feel like I'm wearing a one-piece because you don't have to show all your goods to be sexy. In fact, when compared to all the other girls in barely-there bikinis, it seems like they're trying too hard. \n\nSo ladies, get this suit...and show them what a real woman looks like.\n

\n With the end of the school year and the days stretching longer, some of us dread one thing: swimsuit shopping. Though the idea of a day at the beach does fill most of us with longing of it's ocean spray and sweet smelling air, the thought of running around scantily clad with our jiggles bouncing around everywhere does put a damper on our moods. If you're like me, you have just enough love handles that bikinis are out of the question. Even one pieces tend to hug all the wrong spots of your body. \nI was a little iffy at first on buying this product, as I would be when buying any swimsuit, but I was bound and determined on being comfortable this summer, whether that be running along smooth sand or reaching extreme speeds on water slides. As it turned out, it ended up being one of the greater investments of my summer. \nThough form fitting as any other swimsuit, there is just enough ruffle in front to hide any belly fat I might not want to show. The color is absolutely beautiful and gleams brightly in the sun, screaming, "Look at me!" All of which, I proudly say, I can flaunt happily. There aren't very many swimwear out there that can achieve such a reaction. \nThe halter top style is so wonderful, I feel comfortable just throwing a skirt on and wearing casually. After all, you never know when you might find yourself at a swimming pool wanting to impress that hunky lifeguard. \nI highly recommend this product for anyone of any shape and size looking for a fun, flirty, boost your self esteem day in the water. \n

\n Let me start off by saying I NEVER write reviews for things. I order clothes all the time off various websites and even if they are what I expect, I just leave it at that. But as soon as I tried on this bathing suit, the first thing that popped into my head was, "i've got to tell everyone!" Ladies, please trust me when I say that no matter what your body type is, THIS IS THE BEST BATHING SUIT YOU WILL EVER FIND!!! I read all the reviews and still found myself thinking, these women 1) are smaller than me (being that they listed their size) 2) must be embellishing a bit because, unless you've got an amazing body, no girl is really that excited about a bathing suit! I was wrong! I'm a curvey girl: 5'6", 36D, 30" hips, with a smaller waist. So, finding bathing suits that fit my body is beyond frustrating and something I dread. After reading all the reviews I figure I'd order it and if it didn't work, send it back and move onto another. With my size, sometimes I'm an 8, 10, 12 ( it depends on the brand), I ordered a 12 and am considering ordering another one just in case I can never find it again! Putting on this bathing suit made me feel better about my figure than I have ever felt. Honestly, I know this sounds cheesy and stupid but, it almost makes me tear up a bit because finally I can relax when I'm in this suit and know I look great! Please, if you never trust a review, please trust this one! You won't regret it!!! : ) \n

\n I'm don't usually wear red so much so I had a hard time choosing this one over 'emmy' but I am really happy that I did! It's a lovely color which I believe flatters most skin tones. It also has a very nice slimming effect, especially with the ruching. The only drawbacks are the chest area -- it does nothing for you -- and the slightly awkward-looking back. I wore this on the beach at Christmas with my red Santa hat and found myself being asked by Japanese tourists to take a picture with them (see attached photo). Lastly, I would like to mention that even though this suit is adorable, it doesn't actually seem retro to me.\n

\n A one piece was never meant to be this sexy, but God knows this one is! I wanted to get a one piece before my trip to Costa Rica because I knew I'd be doing more active things like snorkeling and surfing. Wanting to avoid the embarrassment of a missing bikini piece, I went on the hunt for a one piece that a.) would stay on and b.) was not made by Speedo. This suit was perfect. First of all, my most contentious relationship with bathing suits is the fact that I am a pear shaped and therefore, my first concern whenever I'm looking for a suit is making sure my bottom half does not look disproportionately larger than my upper half. I usually like full coverage of my bottom if I can have it because anything that hangs out just isn't so cute. This suit is great because it sits right at the hip and has an incredibly flattering silhouette for most body types - the sweetheart neckline and ruched chest for those not amply "blessed," but lining for those who need the support; and something about the cut really accented my body type so that I looked retro sexy. Best part is, I threw on a pair of shorts over the suit and suddenly it was a cute halter top. I got so many compliments when I wore this suit I almost opted for it over my bikini if not for my want of a killer tan. Highly recommended for all body types! \n

\n This is definitely the most flattering one-piece I've ever owned--sucks in my stomach and does a good job supporting my 32DD chest. It's cute but covers everything, so it's perfect for swimming in mixed company (when you might feel kind of weird in a bikini in front of your grandma, for instance).\r\nMy only quibble is that the ruched part on the stomach gets kind of limp and awkward when it's wet. Still cute though!\n

\n Oh my goodness--this swimsuit is AMAZING!! I'm 5'4", 140 lbs, 36-30-38, and the size 10 fits perfectly. It's a little snug in the hips but looks amazing on, and there is some give in the waist area. The ruching and neckline are really flattering if you have curves. The color is simply eyecatching and really compliments my pale skin--it's a very bright red, but not orange-y at all. I highly recommend it!!!\n

\n Just buy this. If you're skinny, it will give you curves, if you have curves, you will feel like a Goddess. I have had it off of my body for 12 hours and I STILL feel like a goddess. I don't know about it running small though. I am a perfect size 12 and ordered the 14 and I think I could have gone for a 12. No matter, a Goddess needs to breathe. \n

\n This is truly the most beautiful swimsuit I've ever had on. Like many my fellow reviewers, I was looking for a one-piece that was youthful, sexy and flattering. This one fits the bill, and once I can afford it, I will definitely grab it in a different colour! The ruching is oh-so-flattering, the colour is brilliant and (very importantly) the coverage and support of my large "northern regions" is just perfect!\r\n\r\nONE THING THOUGH: I initially ordered the 16 based on the measurements provided. I ended up having to exchange it for a 12 (which is what I usually wear). So, for that reason, I don't about it fitting small. My suggestion is compare your measurements to the ones listed, but take into account the fact that swimsuits need to be a little tight on you, and that the fabric offers ample stretch. This is probably where I went wrong in my size selection.\r\n\r\nOtherwise, I am ecstatic to wear this baby on the beach! Best suit of life. :)\n
