\n First, my apologies since I actually bought this dress in Black Licorice (currently sold out), but wanted to review this somewhere it might help others. \r\n\r\nMy main concerns for fit were the 'spare tire' right at my beltline, my manly broad shoulders which make most button-up tops look absolutely ridiculous on me, and whether the cap sleeves would allow for mobility. I took my measurements and opted for the 2X, even though I was on the line between the 2X and 3X. While the waist is a little snug, it's not uncomfortably so. I think a solid pattern would hide the 'spare tire' a little better, but overall it doesn't look bad. I honestly couldn't have been happier with the fit in the shoulders/arms, as the top is plenty wide and the cap sleeves are not restrictive and actually hit at my shoulders. \r\n\r\nI knew this dress was the right size when I came home from work feeling super bloated and like a burlap sack would be a better outfit to wear than my normal clothes, but the moment I put this dress on, the fit just made me feel happy and pretty. I can't wait to wear it out!\n

\n I've had my eye on this in black for a while, and I own one of the Soda Fountain dresses (same style)...but when I saw this, I ordered it instantly! Call it a gut instinct but I just HAD to have it. It was that so utterly perfect, pin-up, swingin' style that works so well on me (I swear I should have been born in the 40s!). Got it today, put it on and it fits perfectly, even better than my Soda Fountain dress. Plus, it may well be the cutest piece of clothing I own. I knew I made a good choice ordering this, and now I'm brainstorming dozens of different places to wear it. I purchased the Tights for Every Occasion in Ivory as well, and they style PERFECTLY with this dress. Add a pair of black Mary Janes, and I'm good to go!\n

\n This is my first Modcloth purchase and while I normally don't write reviews, in this case I just had to!\r\n\r\nLike many busty girls, I've resigned myself to the fact that dresses will always be a tight at the top. That is not the case here! The dress fits perfectly, both at my breasts and hips. \r\nIf you have a flatter chest, you might want to wear a push-up, though. Otherwise the dress might be a little loose at the top.\r\n\r\nAnother pleasant surprise for me was that the dress fell just below the knee (1/2 - 1 inch). At 5'8'' I'm fairly tall and most of my height is made up of legs, so dresses often are shorter than what I feel comfortable with. That was not the case here. It's just perfect! I know, I know, I'm repeating myself. I'm just really happy with this.\r\n\r\nThe colour looks pretty much the same as it did online. It's a true red and the contrast the white belt provides gives me an hourglass figure I normally don't have.\r\n\r\nI'm also very happy about the side zipper; I hate seeing pretty dresses ruined by very obvious zippers.\r\n\r\nAlso, I don't think this dress wrinkles easily. When it came out of its tiny (and cute) Modcloth box, it only had a couple of wrinkles at the bottom and those are already beginning to to fade as I'm wearing it. So no worries about that!\r\n\r\nI'm trying to think of negative things to say just to make my review more well-rounded, but there just isn't anything about the dress that I didn't like!\r\n\r\nThanks for this great dress, Modcloth! <3\r\n\r\n\r\n\n

\n Love, love, loev. I sized up after reading a few reviews of this dress running a touch small for the more *voluptuous* among us and the size up fits perfectly- very flattering. Nice fabric. Not so thin that I have to worry about being see-through, but not so thick that it's hot (I live in Mobile, AL where summers involve 100% humidity on top of 100 degree temps). Love, love, love!\n

\n Very vibrant dress! I got many compliments. Paired with my bright blue heels and my blue coat, it looked stunning. It's hard to find dresses that flatter at my size but this fit well, moved well, and most importantly looked great.\n

\n I do believe this is my most favorite dress I've ever purchased from Modcloth. I have a swing dance ball for which I had ordered it, and it's just so perfect for the occasion, but I'm definitely going to find as many reasons to wear this dress as possible. I'm more of a pear-shaped girl than anything, but this dress accentuates my tiny waist, especially with the white (cotton) sash in the middle. I look slim everywhere, and the color really suits me. Add a splash of ruby red lipstick, some dance shoes, and you're ready to go! This would also be perfect for summer, or any season with the right accessories. I've never been happier with any Modcloth purchase as I am with this one. It fits my chest perfectly, no pulling, but not baggy. My hips are very comfortable, no pulling there, and not baggy either. A wonderful dress for girls with even the slightest bit of curves. I definitely recommend. Plus its fun to twirl in. :)\n

\n Be warned! The soda fountain and hepcat dresses both have "sizing" which washes out. This means that after about 4 washes, it shrinks. This dress and two of my soda fountain dresses are now AT LEAST 3 inches shorter than they were at first. Too short to wear to work now! The rest still fits okay but the style isn't quite right with a short skirt. *sigh* I'm disappointed. Glad I didn't leave a review earlier.\n

\n I love this dress, it's so pretty :) I got it yesterday, tried it on as soon as it came out of the box. It's perfect. The size is just right (all though I could fit in larger boobs here, but hey....) The material is slightly thin -but this was mentioned in prior reviews so I knew this. Put a white petticoat underneath, and voila, no see-through dress anymore. \n

\n I just recieved my very first ModCloth purchase and had to put this on just as soon as I could get the box open! \r\nI have to admit, I was wary in purchasing a dress online, since I worry so much about the fit. \n These dresses are great! Being of the larger bust but smaller waist variety these dresses are perfect, it's usually so hard to find something that fits over the chest for me, but these are perfect. Also being 5"11" sometimes dresses can be a bit short, but this is the perfect length, hitting me just at the knee, so I can easily wear to work. Highly recommend if you have a larger bust. \n
