who are you?

My name is Susan Gregg Koger and I'm from a town you've probably never heard of near Fort Lauderdale, FL called Davie. According to the town's official website, it's "...a unique jewel in central Broward County, that treasures its environment, rural and equestrian lifestyle". Needless to say, I moved away from home as soon as possible.

what do you do at ModCloth?

As one of the original founders, I've filled every position imaginable over the years - from graphic designer to customer service (the phone number on the website used to be my personal cell phone!) to shipping clerk. My official title now is Creative Director which means that I coordinate the vision of the Merchandising, Marketing, and Design teams. I'm also the head buyer.

what do you like about working at ModCloth?

I love working with people who are passionate about and good at what they do. Also - I get to travel and shop for a living. Who wouldn't love that?

what are your other interests & hobbies?

Thrifting, reading fashion magazines, petting Winston the pug, playing Mario Kart Wii.

Are you a Winston or a Blue?

I'm probably more of a Blue. I enjoy a good squirrel chase every now and then.

what else would you like to tell our customers about yourself?

I used to have an intense obsession with Billy Corgan and the Smashing Pumpkins. My bedroom in high school was absolutely covered in pictures that I collected on the internet, then painstakingly printed, cut-out, and hung with scotch tape. My fashion choices at the time were also affected; I wore lots of big, black t-shirts and super baggy jeans. I even had a pair of silver pants.

Favorite ModCloth item?

No fair - this is like having to pick a favorite child! Although, I must say that I'm pretty obsessed with the Carmen Santiago Bag. I bought one a few months ago and have been carrying it with everything ever since

Favorite piece of clothing?

A leopard coat from the 60's that my Grandmother used to own. It is one of my most prized possessions.
