who are you?

I'm Deanna, and I grew up in Louisiana, where we have decent weather. (By which I mean: NO SNOW!) I'm in Pittsburgh now because it seemed like a good idea at the time, and since I've got an awesome job and some great friends, I think it worked out.

what do you do at ModCloth?

Whatever Dan tells me to do! Primarily I deal with vendors, the people who make the great things we sell. I also help out with customer service and regularly do battle with some huge filing cabinets of utter terror.

what do you like about working at ModCloth?

There's such a great atmosphere here. The subjects we deal in are so interesting, and everyone does a little bit of everything. Plus, there are doggies. I'm a sucker -- at home I'm a crazy cat lady, and my princesses won't let me have a dog, so I get my fix at work.

what are your other interests & hobbies?

I think the technical term for me is "geek." I don't like going out but I love hanging out at friends' houses and gaming: cards, board games, video games, your classic tabletop RPGs, whatever comes out of the box. I read whatever books don't run away from me fast enough, and though I was one of those kids who always kept a notebook on her I'm not much of a writer -- I'm just a groupie.

Are you a Winston or a Blue?

Oh, I'm a Blue. I don't have a straw-like snout or little webbed feet but I prefer snoozing in my cave to going out to party, and I HATE having my picture taken (Garr).

what else would you like to tell our customers about yourself?

Recommend books to me! I live with a writer and a crazed librarian, and sometimes our stacks get dangerously low. Help us keep from resorting to gladiatorial combat over the only copy of the newest Jim Butcher.
