Winter Belle Dress
I will never be a contestant in a beauty contest, nor is it likely that I be invited to a Hollywood premiere anytime soon. But when slipping into this midnight and silver dress, I can't help but feel like I'm bound for a red carpet, or headed to an event where wearing a crown wouldn't be out of the question. Everything about this frock from Max and Cleo exudes elegance, from the structured boning at the bust to its glimmering skirt rimmed with a light tulle lining. I love how the velvety waistband gives my waist dimension between the silkiness of the strapless top and the shimmer of the full skirt. Usually, I love dresses that have pockets, because they give me something to do with my hands when feeling awkward at cocktail parties. But I can't help but feel anything but confident when donning this dress, making the pockets an added benefit! I plan on wearing this frock this holiday season with sheer black tights, open-toe stilettos, and lots of sparkling accessories . this dress is beautiful. i've worn it twice and have gotten tons of compliments. I think it fits true to size (i ordered a 2 which is my size in most dresses, and it fit fine). Its maybe slightly poofier than how its pictured, but i think that makes it a little more fun and party-esque. i'm ready to wear it again next winter :)
Mine was way too big because the 2 was sold out, so I had to get the 4. But I'm sure if I would have been able to get the right size it would have fit right. Besides that, it is very well made and the pictures are true to the fabric, style, and fit.
