We recently caught up with the international megastar while in L.A., as part of her international tour, "Superstar: The Mary Katherine Gallagher Story." Since graduating from St. Monica's High School, Gallagher has had an almost unheard of rise to fame. At the trendy new L.A. hotspot, Illumination, she wore a spectacular sleeveless black and bronze frock, in which she bore a strong resemblance to a young Elizabeth Taylor. With its delicately draped black top and glimmering tiered skirt, the dress was a favorite of the Superstar's (she insisted we refer to her as such). With her hands at the dress' gold stitched waistband, she began to recount her strict upbringing and how a love of television movies helped guide her through it. "I believe my success would best be expressed in a monologue from the made-for-TV movie, 'Beyond the Best: The Carissa Lumbar Story.'" But as the Superstar was about to indulge us with one of her signature monologues, she was interrupted by an abrupt and violent fall off the back of her bar stool. Yet, as we assisted her back up, we couldn't help but notice how she looked as stunning in her fabulous frock against the backdrop of the broken chair as she had onstage earlier that evening. She then stood up proudly, rose her hands above her head, smiled widely, and exclaimed, "Superstar!"

I love this dress!!! I wanted it in time to wear for thanksgiving, so I had it shippeed over night. It was very worth it! I can't find a flaw in it. It's little touch of shine makes me feel like I glow. It was very comfortable, especially around family on thanksgiving. I didn't want to wear a dress so revealing, and this was perfect. The layers on the bottom hide my not so perfect tummy, which is always a plus. Normally , I would have never picked out this dress, but I really wanted to try something different, and I have to say it was VERY flattering for my curvy figure.

Low-maintenance and glam, all at once. I absolutely adore this dress... it highlights a small waist and can give anyone an hourglass figure. I have a pair of lipstick red patent heels, and it is purely dashing with them. I will make every excuse to wear it. Pinky swear.

This is a cute dress and fits well (true to size), but the skirt could've been constructed better. One side of the top tier was shorter than the other and the material is pretty sheer, even with two tiers. The second tier isn't the same fabric from the waistband down, which I think attributes to some of the awkwardness in the length (underneath the first tier it's a plain stretch material instead of the metallic fabric of the visible skirt). I'd recommend it, but just giving a heads up about a little "weirdness" in the skirt construction.
