The Imelda Shoe
Having recently moved into a new apartment (as I am sure many of you have experienced), I know that the process requires help and boxes! The Scene - Mountains of boxes tower along the walls of my parent's house, the midway point between my old apartment in Ohio and my new location in the city of Pittsburgh. My help consists mainly of myself and my family, and in particular, my father. During the journey of transporting my goods from Point A to Point B, I pretend to listen while he repeatedly states as he usually does how I "have too much stuff," need to "get rid of at least half of my shoes," and that I might as well be "Imelda Marcos." I do confess that over the years, my closet has become slowly populated with more and more shoes (not quite 3,000), but in my defense, Jeffrey Campbell doesn't make it very easy to be a minimalist! Take this shoe for example - strips of peach patent collide with warm pewter to form a sleek chevron weave from heel to toe. Their low kitten heel and leather construction make these walkable from day to night and durable through the years. In my defense, my dad can't blame me for having a collection of shoes. I'm passing the buck to Jeffrey Campbell! -Julie, Fashion Writer

Leather upper and inner sole. Man made outer sole.
Fit
1/2 size up for best fit.

2 inch heel.

These shoes are awfully cute in person. The heel is such an attractive shape and the toe box is not too narrow, a problem I often encounter because my feet are a bit wide. I will say that they are peachier than they look online; from the picture, I expected them to be more of a pale pink. The fit guide says to size up a half size for best fit, so I decided to order a 71/2, as I usually take a 7. That decision, I think, was a mistake. The 71/2 is too big; there's a gap at my heel, and far too much toe cleavage for my taste. I'm exchanging them for the size 7, and I'm hoping that will alleviate those issues. I really do want to keep them. Despite their unusual colors, they're actually quite versatile.
