Named for Christine Daae, the heroine of Gaston Leroux's famous French novel "Le Fantome de l'Opera," this sleeveless gown by Nick & Mo evokes all the elegance and grandeur of a Paris opera house! Constructed of a sumptuous cotton fabric, this frock's dove grey paisley brocade and feminine cut are sure to catch the grown Raoul's eye. The bodice's column of ebony, cloth-covered buttons is edged in a border of slim, ecru lace, while the ample cumberbund gives way to a pretty, pleated skirt edged in lace. Pair this dress with ebony tights, ballet flats, and Victorian-inspired jewelry for an extraordinarily well-orchestrated ensemble not even the Angel of Music could critique!

Another beautiful find from ModCloth! The fabric is much nicer in person: sturdy and detailed. The lining is satiny and the fit is so, so flattering. My one bit of advice to plan to wear a cardigan with this dress if you're fair-skinned. Pale girls will find the color probably blends into their skin too much, though dark-skinned girls could totally rock this sleeveless! I wear this will a cream colored cardigan, sheer black tights and heels. And I'm really glad to finally get a dress at a reasonable length! I'm no schoolmarm, but even at 5'3" I find that a 33" is more of a tunic than a dress. This length hits directly at my knees. I wish MC would stock longer dresses like this more often!

The most gorgeous dress ever!!! Impressive rich and heavy material, lovely colour (even on fair skin) and pattern, lovely length (hits my knee)! I'm so happy I ordered it (along with the cute cat&fish necklace) and can't wait to wear it to some highbrow event! By the way... it fitted like a glove; I ordered the Medium, usually a Lage, so it's fair to say it runs rather large. For other lucky owners; enjoy enjoy enjoy...

The moment I saw that this dress was inspired by Christine Daae from Phantom I loved it so much more! Its so precious and I love the pattern of the fabric. The draping is very flattering and its just an all around adorable dress.
