Oh, is this one flattering dress. It's so Joan from Mad Men. I was worried the collar might be a little bulky, but it's just the right proportion. Plus, the little end flaps on the collar are stitched down, so they're not going anywhere. I got a Large, and the dress fit exactly as the measurements said it would, maybe even with a touch of extra room. One thing to keep in mind is that this dress is not lined, so I'll be rocking a slip to make it a little more substantial. It's a vintage-y win.
I have two Bettie Page dresses, and I am absolutely amazed by the quality of the clothing. The construction, the material, the way it hangs. All of it is perfectly designed, and meant to flatter. I''m about 5'10 and 130 pounds, but have curves. The dresses are wonderfully designed for my figure. I can't wait to wear this one on christmas eve, sipping festive cocktails by the fireplace.
I totally love this dress. I am 5'6", 135 lb, and I got a medium. I found that it fit me perfectly at the hips, but a bit more loosely around the chest--this dress is made for more of an hourglass, and may not work perfectly for you if you're more on the pear-shaped end. But even so, it's a knockout. The color is absolutely gorgeous, and the style is both flattering and classy. Perfect vintage look!
