I ordered this sweater in a medium even though I am small, so I have to disagree with the previous review. I think it runs true to size. I'm actually going to wear this as a coat, layering it over just about anything, because it is so warm. I love the longer length. I took the hood off & it kind of has a military look to it. I love the pockets, too. Overall, this is one of my favorite ModCloth finds.
Despite looking at the sizing chart a few times before buying, to make sure it was the right size for me, it actually is a bit longer and bigger than I thought, I'd recommend buying a size down from what you'd normally wear. While the sleeves are a perfect fit and the lining is extra warm, the torso part of the jacket is bulky and heavy without much shape. The overall weight of the jacket is a bit much for the delicate knit part of it, making it stretch downwards when you wear it. The buttons are also barely connected, with a few times of wearing it you might even have to reinforce them yourself. I would recommend it though for a winter coat, it's extremely warm, soft interior, and overall look are very nice.
I love this sweater coat! I can't say enough good things about it. Its warm and snuggly and sooo cute! You can wear it with jeans or over a cute dress, and it will get you a ton of compliments!
