I was really excited about the jacket, but surprised when it arrived. The jacket is a deep purple, and unless I am quite colorblind, I did not get that impression from the photo. In fact, I thought it would be a dark brown. But the material is great, I can tell it is well made, and the satin lining feels lovely.

Apart from a pair of boring waterproof shoes, this was my best, most useful purchase of the year! The color looks exactly the same as on my screen at home (though judging by my work screen, I can see how people might get the wrong impression of it). It is a deep dark blue violet, and the lining is a gorgeous satiny taupe. It matches everything in my wardrobe - which admittedly is mostly purples, blues, and browns. But it looks great with black or red too. It is waterproof, and has served me well all throughout the fall. I love having a waterproof jacket that looks so cool.
