overall i like this coat. i was most disappointed because in the picture it really shows the coat as a red color but it is actually a rust or brown, as in the description. if the color was a brighter red it would have been perfect for me. as it is, i still like it very much. the asymmetrical collar is great and it seems like a good winter coat i can still wear over a sweater. a little on the expensive side but still the best coat i've seen out there this year. it is also very nice because even without the belt it makes a very flattering fit. i'm 5-7 and 135 and i got the small. could have gone down a size only if i didn't wear a sweater under.
I really love this coat! I have long been searching for a warm but stylish coat that I am happy to wear every day, as is necessary in my very cold home town. This is the one. I feel glamorous and comfortable in it. I feel as though my outfit always rocks regardless of what's underneath the coat. And, it has brown and black tones in the plaid, so I can wear it with anything. I can't recommend it enough! Even my boyfriend calls it The Sexy Coat, an adjective usually reserved for less bulky items.
My story of this jacket is odd: I actually ordered the Polished Pundit Jacket but in error they sent me this jacket instead. It's not quite my style and the shoulders were quite broad and I was sort of lost within the collar. I'm quite short (5'0") so it looked way too heavy on me. However, ModCloth support was great and they let me keep the jacket for free (they made the error and didn't want me to go through the hassle of returning it) so I gave it to my co-worker who is much taller than me and the jacket was pretty much made for her! It fits a little on the large side so you may want to get a size smaller than you normally would.
