I've been lusting after this dress ever since the first time it went out of stock. When I was notified of restock, I went to purchase it immediately, since my sorority formal is this weekend. I ordered the small. (5'6" 120 lbs) While the dress fits well below the waist (how could it not?), the bust area is very unflattering. I don't think it could look good on a small or busty girl. It just balloons out in a funny shape - not necessarily round, but rather boxy. And it balloons out not just to the front, but at the sides too, which makes you look wider than you really are. I've been trying to pull down on it to keep the extra material in place, but then the seam that the belt covers comes into view, and it's just overall not a very put-together look at that point. Not to mention, the dress tends to balloon back up when I'm not pulling down on it. A couple of the girls in my sorority had warned me about the quality of Modcloth items, however cute they look online, but I thought I'd take a chance since I've been wanting this dress forever. Now I'm in a bind to find a new formal dress in 2 days... (The accessory I ordered at the same time was excellent though)
Slightly loose in the bust but not bad with a decent fitting bra, very lovely dress, elegant and flowy. You WILL need static guard with the dress' liner but still a keeper. The belt clasped nicely for me.
I ordered this dress in a medium and fell absolutely in love with it!!! im busty and was a little worried abou the way the dress would fit but it fits perfect. the belt was the perfect addition and fit snug for cinching in the waist.
