This was the first ModCloth dress that I purchased, and it was a complete success. The style of the pocket and neckline are so glamorous and the red is stunning. The fit is perfect, and the belt leaves much room for adjustment. It goes great with the Dark Shadows gloves, Life is a Highway purse, Cloche to your Heart hat, and the Fashionably Late Pocket Watch necklace. This dress definitely deserves 5 stars.
My sister bought me this dress and I was actually skeptical when she first showed me the picture online, but as soon as I tried it on, I was blown away. I am 5'2, about 120lbs and pear shaped, so I often have that battle of finding a dress that flatters my hips instead of making me feel disproportionate. Well let me tell you, this dress turned my hips into a major asset! Also with my height, I find the dress to be a perfect work length and have big plans for it at the office holiday party! I'd also note that the other reviews about color are true- it's not as bright a red as the picture appears, but I mean that in the best of ways- the actual color makes the dress a show stopper without being too intense. I definitely recommend it.
I wanted to keep this dress so badly but it just didn't look right. The neckline and the back of the dress are beautiful, but the rest failed to impress. The pockets look cute in the photos online, but on a person they hang strangley at your sides and widen your natural waist. Note: if you are small busted, it will make you look even smaller.
