Only the white portion of dress is silk. The black shiny part is polyester. I ordered the small; I'm 5'1'' and my measurements are 33B-26-35, 105 lbs. Length=awesome, 2 inches above the knee, perfect for petite girls. It's high-waisted, right below the chest, so if you wear a 33-34 bra, you'd be fine. BUT to fit the chest area, you'd have to be a 33/34 C or D. Yes. This dress was made to fit a porn star. What's up with dresses made in China fitted for tiny petite girls with HUGE breasts? If you want to pay for the alterations, it'd be a matter of taking in the one shoulder, because it has a seam. But it'll cost you a little more than you'd probably want to spend after throwing down 85 bucks for a 1/3 silk, 2/3 polyester dress.
It fits a little small, but otherwise it is a beautiful dress, and I've gotten plenty of comments. However the fabric gets a tad wrinkly. But it goes well with oxfords, and it was a great buy. In addition, my boobs fit in perfectly (34B).
I loved the dress! The black part of the dress looks like a normal material in the picture, however, it appears glittery and very shiny. I wore it to prom and got many compliments on how classy the dress was and that it was beautiful. The top part is silk and is easily wrinkled. Also, the only thing I did not like about it was that the chest area was too big for me. I bought a size Small and I had to sew the side to make it fit me. I'm a 34B and it seems to fit 34C, possibly larger. Even after I fixed it, it was still a bit loose up there. Also, around the waist area, it is quite itchy because the black polyester material is expose, but besides the size issue, the dress was beautiful and magnificent. Although I wore it to prom, I would most def. wear it to any other event soon. Thanks!
