Embrace the nostalgia of Americana paintings in this cotton shirt dress. The dusky red, white and blue checked print, bust pockets, pearly front snaps and safari sleeves are the perfect ingredients to fashion a frock fit for looking fabulous. Pair with a simple headband, over the shoulder purse and western footwear for a look that will have you, like the art of this dress's namesake, a staple on the front page of popular papers.

I received this dress yesterday and it's one of the cutest and most flattering dresses I've owned. Was worried it would be big in the waist, but with the bow tied in back, it can cinch as much as needed. Well-made, especially for the price, and completely adorable!
This dress is very cute and comfortable. The bodice fit perfectly, I am a 5’6”, about a 34D and purchased a medium. The bottom half of the dress has an unusual fit. The waist is not on the natural waist nor is it an empire waist it falls some ware in between. This characteristic makes the dress look a little frumpy, not as streamline as in the photo. Also there seemed to be excess pleated material on the skirt which made it flounce out more than shown in the photo. I took some safety pins and pinned the extra pleating back from the sides to the rear of the dress and then the skirt laid better and it looked a lot less frumpy. Overall with a little modification it looks great, is soft, comfortable, and just barley long enough to be work appropriate for me. I suppose in the fall I could pair it with some skinny jeans and flats, so it is versatile as well. Lastly this dress has attracted quite a few complements, which is always welcome!
True story: Girl buys this fabulous and flattering dress and decides to fly in the face of office propriety by wearing said dress to the office. It's a hot summer day after all. Girl jams out to ipod while on metro and decides to scurry up the escalator at her stop because she's feeling pretty hot. She makes it within a block of her office when a woman taps her on her shoulder. "Oh" the girl thinks "she's going to compliment my dress." The woman informs the audacious girl that her already somewhat short skirt is riding up due to her large tote bag rubbing against her backside. Whew - close booty call! So yes, the skirt is a little short but feels shorter because of the fullness of the skirt. It's a lovely item though and did I mention the snap button closure are uber hot?! I'm 5'7" and weigh 130 pounds and the Large fits perfectly, but really a Large? I'm a medium in most other brands, this may just be my pride speaking. Overall, I recommend this hot little number!
