i ordered this dress in large because it was the only size available, though i am a medium, i couldn't resist not to get it since it looks like such a beautiful dress! i didn't even have an event in mind, i just wanted it to be mine. It arrived promptly overnight but unfortunately it was a big, big disappointment, here is why IMO: 1. the fabric, is so stiff and not nice to the touch, very flat color, it seemed to me like kakhis fabric. 2. the zipper is huge and is placed on the outside, but it just looks like they ran out of nice zippers and put a tan zipper that was left over from a different garment. it also doesn't zip up and down smoothly, it gets stuck. 3. the concept is nice but it ended up being very unflattering on, but in all fairness it may just have been that it was way too big, so I would strongly recommend the buyer to size down, if they don't have your size less 1, then pass on it, there are way too many ruffles everywhere and i think it needs to be very fitted to look good. My recommendation for the makers is, try it again, on a silky type fabric and hide the zipper, put a good quality zipper on it. Ill be all over it then, because it truly is a nice concept.
I havn't ordered the dress yet, but i really want to. Before I buy it I want to know a little more about the sizing. I really have no idea which size to order. Their are no smalls left, and thats what I thought I was, but i checked and it seemed like all the sizes were pretty close. Any ideas? Should I just go with the medium?
A little short, but is one of the most unique and stunning dresses I've gotten. I wore it to a friend's birthday party and got so many compliments. The straps are adjustable, so you can make it a little higher or lower if you would like. I love the exposed zipper detail on the back. The color can be a little difficult, especially if you have fair skin, as I do. But, I wore it w/a black boyfriend blazer and super high patent pumps, and it balanced everything out. I completely recommend this, especially if you have a party or event to go to.
