i just received this dress in the mail today and am super disappointed. the first thing i thought when i pulled it out of the box was that i totally overpaid for it: the material is a very thin cotton; not at all what i was expecting for $54.99. i was willing to overlook the not-worth-$55-fabric though, because i was planning on wearing the dress to an outdoor wedding at the end of august and figured light cotton would be good for a warm day. my disappointment only intensified once i tried the dress on: i'm 5'2, 105 pounds, bust size 34B. I ordered the dress in a Small, and it was HUGE. i could have stuffed a pillow in the top part of the dress, there was so much extra fabric. so, buyer beware: this dress looks adorbale in the website picture, but it's a mess in person.

I have such mixed feelings about this dress. I made the mistake of ordering a medium, when I should have definitely ordered the small (this was before I read the measurements carefully). But, the top would be loose anyway. The arm holes are big & the top is very loosey goosey. Also, for the price, the material is a bit chintzy. . In retrospect, I would have returned it and ordered a different black dress!All that being said, I wear this dress often because it is just so much fun to accessorize. Unfortunately, I always have to cover the top with a cardigan or blazer, but it looks good that way!!
The fabric and fit is very similar to a black trash bag. Very disappointed because it looks so cute in the picture. The top part of the dress is very large, with gaping under the arms.
