I finally received my dress today after a two week shipment delay (no thanks to ModCloth CS). However, in regards to the dress...I adore it. At first when I ordered it, I thought it was brown from the photo. It's black. But that's okay! I still love it. The fabric is actually a sateen cotton/poly blend. It's not a dull face fabric as the photo may suggest. The top may be a little loose but once you figure out where it should land on your shoulders, it should work out well. I got a small and I'm a 5'4, 34 bust and 27 waist. Fit was great.
The top half is a little loose, but the rest of it fits. It is very eloquent, I just it didn't billow out when i bend over.
what a unique little black dress. I love the patterned buttons which are just the right size and the soft and sturdy-silky feel of the fabric. This dress has great structure and fit. I ordered a large which was too big but I am usually in between sizes. The length of this dress is great - not too short. I am 5'4' and it hits me right at the knee. Pair with black flats and a cream knit hat and you have yourself a showstopping outfit.
