the fit is true to size in the bust, sleeves etc. but the problem is (as with a lot of dress on the modcloth site) is that it is just too short! With leggings, it is passable, but the dress hugs curves already so the short length is a bit too much. It is a very pretty color and though the material is quite thin, it doesn't look cheap. However, if you are above 5'4, think twice.

I bought this in a small (I'm usually a 4 or 6 depending on the day). The bottom half is waaaay too small for me, I looked like an over stuffed sausage on the bottom half, but the top fit perfectly. Unfortunately I'll have to return it due to that. The feel of the fabric was great however and its a nice color. Just be careful with buying this dress if you have curvy hips.

I fell in love with this dress when I saw it here, and was very pleased with the quality. I guess just to echo what some of the other reviewers have said... the material is thin (but not in a cheap way) and the top half is much roomier than the bottom... which falls a bit too high above the knee (I am 5'6" and got the small). I will definitely pair this with a slip. Overall I am happy with the purchase and now just have to think of an excuse to wear it!
