Willamette Blouse

It's a very cute top but it is quite large. the top part fits great mostly due to the side ties(i'm rather busty). the sleeves fit me fine unrolled and buttoned (just above the elbow, cute!). although i'm not sure that i'll be able to roll them up if they're buttoned. the bottom half is huge though. there is way too much width and length. i ordered this top because i thought it would hid a lot of 'problem areas' for me...mostly a tummy and love handles. unfortunately it covers everything. it actually hits me about mid-thigh. it looks like i'm swimming in it, which is impressive b/c i'm not a particularly small person (5'6" 135 lb with a very large chest). if you wanted to wear this as a cute long shirt/dress it would be perfect, but it's not my style. i think i'm going to hem the bottom to make it more useable...and more of a shirt. the fabric is lightweight, which fits with the flowiness i guess. also, the buttons are made of coconut shells and are very cute. i love the cuffs on the sleeves and prefer them unrolled.

It does run a bit large - though I like things slightly loose this top is quite oversized. You might consider ordering a full size down. Even though the size is large I had to unbutton the sleeves to make them loose enough on my arms, which doesn't appear to be the way it was intended to be worn (but I will anyway). The fabric is summer weight and too late for me now, but in any case, the top is still wicked cute and I can't wait to take it back out in May.

I ordered this and was very exited about it, but when I put it on, I found that it was larger than I had expected. Also, I was very disappointed in the construction... very, VERY thin fabric, and on the first day I wore it, I bent over and one of the ties on the back snapped right off, so now I have to sew it back on. Basically, I feel like I did not get my money's worth... definitely not worth $43. Gotta say, though, the print IS cute.
