I actually purchased this dress in the red colour, but the listing seems to have been removed from ModCloth. I still really wanted to write a review. Nevertheless, I got my dress on sale and was excited to wear it, despite the fact that strapless full-skirted dresses don't look good on my full figure. When I tried it on, however, I was in awe. I have a larger bust and this dress just accentuated every part of it. The skirt is also quite wide and quite short, but with a good set of opaque tights I was able to make this dress flatter me perfectly. The waist even nips at the smallest part of me. I love this dress and have received handfuls of compliments while wearing it. I feel like a modern day Cajun in this dress.

I was hoping to get this dress in red, but it sold out so I ordered the blue. The fabric is very nice for spring and summer and the bright blue roses are very pretty. I ordered a large, as my waist size here at Modcloth is 16.5", and I was afraid it would be too tight. Boy, was I wrong - it's almost too big, not just in the waist but in the top, too. The top does have points that remind one of the 50's, but I think with a good strapless bra that won't be a problem. All in all, I'm pleased with it. Can't wait to wear it next season!

Be warned!! This dress fits a little oddly. The bust area has some strangely shaped tucks that make your boobs look 1950's pointy. I bought a small (normally wear sizes 3-5), and it was definitely a bit large for me. Lovely pattern, but fits poorly. Wasn't flattering on - I'll be returning it. Bummer, because it really looks pretty on the website! Not so pretty on the girl though.
