This dress makes me very sad. I am in love with it. It doesn't even come close to closing around my ribcage. I'm a large, in most things. My mother is a size six on top and the large I ordered barely zipped around her torso! To be fair, I was silly and only paid attention to the waist measurement when ordering- but please, can someone explain to me in what universe does a 34" bust apply to a small dress? It's very beautiful. It would be my favorite dress except for the fact that it doesn't zip. Very sad. Will be returning.
I think this dress is definitely cute but on the right person....I have been meaning to measure myself for more accuracy but out of sheer laziness ordered both a S and M...it didn't matter...the Med was too big and the S didn't fall right on me, somehow. The ruffles could have been cute but looked kinda clownish on me and the fit was a bit a more flowy than I wanted.. overall, it wasn't that flattering...I am a very pale person, too, and was willing to tan every day for this dress but without that benefit, it would make me look washed out. I have seen some other cute red dresses on Modcloth so I am not giving up on the perfect red dress, yet....I am petite, weigh 115-120 lbs, 5'6", and wear 34 B/C if that helps.
I just received this dress and I LOVE it! I was so worried that the Large would be too big - I'm 5'8'' and 116 lbs - but it fits perfectly all over! The color is fantastic and so vivid - better than the picture, in my opinion. The scoop in the neck and back are exactly as low as I'd like them to be. I've always wanted a red dress and I feel so lucky that this one is such a perfect fit. I can't wait to wear it over the holidays!
