I'm giving this very pretty dress four stars only because the lining doesn't extend to the back on top (not sure how to get around the whole bra showing thing at this point). The colour is beautiful, the sleeves are perfect, and the material is very much what you would expect from the picture. I was hoping it would be a touch longer (I'm 5' 9"), as I usually like dresses to be just above the knee.
I wanted to love this dress, but unfortunately the cut just wasn't for me. Although I got the small and it fit just right it some areas (shoulders; I have wide ones), you need a large chest to fill out this dress since the gathering is lower down. I had inches of extra fabric (I'm a 34B). Also, the waist band hits a bit higher than I expected it to from looking at the picture. I'd say the color is also a bit bluer and less grey in person, although it's still beautiful and was the best thing about the dress. Unfortunately, I'll be returning this.
Love this dress! The stretchy fabric in front is great for a busty person like me. The semi empire-waist gathering also is good for hiding my belly. All in all this dress is very flattering and the fabric is the same beautiful blue shown on the website. I wore it to a party and it was a hit. I will definitely be purchasing more from Modcloth!
