I love this dress! I thought when I saw it online that it had a lot of potential, depending on how it was accessorized, and I was right. I've worn it on its own, but I really like layering a tee or cami under the dress, and leaving some of the buttons undone on the bodice to show the shirt underneath. Then with a cardigan or vest over that, its a really cute look. The dress is very lightweight and perfect for summer. However, with tights and a cardigan over it, it could transition easily into fall or even winter wear. It runs slightly small, in my opinion, mostly across the shoulders and the gathered sleeves. If you have wider shoulders or large upper arms/biceps, you may want to go up a size. The dress is a little tight around my upper arms (I wear a medium in both shirts and dresses, and that's the size I got), but it is still very wearable. The only improvement I can think of is that maybe it should be lined in the skirt, since the material is so thin and lightweight. Also: my mother and boyfriend were both not "impressed" by this dress when they saw it online, but I ordered it anyway. And they both love it in person!
Okay, so I admit it: I bought this dress quite impulsively. But I'm very glad that I did. It's so feminine and sweet, and makes me feel like I'm on a picnic 24/7. There are a few things to take note of though. It hits me at the knee, which is what I had hoped for (I'm 5'3") but might seem a little dowdy to some. Also, it is quite tight on the shoulders, like the first reviewer mentioned, but it's not too big a deal. And lastly, I found the buttons a little bit frustrating... they're kinda cheap, and I struggle to do them up occasionally. But still, none of these things can make me dislike this dress, I really do love it. I personally enjoy wearing it with a brown, high waisted belt and cardi, and I'm certain that I will end up wearing it a lot :)
This dress was just plain ugly. I thought I could dress it up with some cute cream tights, a darling ruffle cream cardigan and awesome ankle boots, but nothing could salvage it. It does fit true to size, though, so I guess that's one thing in it's favor.
