Its true that the fabric isn't what you expect. It is not faux denim at all. I thought the fabric would be stiffer or have more structure, but it is soft and stretchy. It looks charcoal gray in the pic, but it is actually a tight pattern of black and white, giving the illusion of gray from a distance. I actually like this fabric and color more than the description leads onto. I'm 120 lbs and have a 34C chest, so i had to return the small I ordered because it was too fitting in the chest area. I think the medium will be just fine. If you don't have a bigger chest like me, the small would be perfect.
This dress fits me perfectly! I didn't realize when I first ordered it that the dress has the same name as me. Maybe, that is why it fits me so well? jk I got a small. I'm 5'5", 113 pounds, 34A chest. I think this dress would fit someone with a little larger chest also because it stretches. Ps. The Peter Pan collar is my favorite feature of the dress!
although the dress was very cute, I too noticed that both armpit seams split the first night I wore the dress. I was very disappointed and hope there is an easy way to premanently remedy the situation. I do love the dress and hope it will last a good long while. thanks modcloth!
