This dress is beautiful in person; the color is as shown, at least on my computer, but it also has a gold shimmer to it. What looks like a seam in the front of the skirt in the picture actually opens, which I thought was a lovely touch. The slip underneath is soft, and I liked that it's unattached because i can definitely wear it with other things. I have a small waist, small hips, and a larger chest (34 [D cup], 26, 35), and the fit wasn't perfect for me. A small for me is good in the waist, tight in the chest, and actually a little tight at the top of my hips. I probably would have gone up a size if buying it in-store, but the fit wasn't enough of problem to exchange it.
This is an adorable dress that is comfortable and flattering. I've recieved allot of compliments and is perfect for a summer date night. The only drawback is that the white dress is not swen on to the chiffon exterior. You may have to keep adjusting yourself. In addition, it comes about mid thigh.
I ordered this dress for Christmas and received it within three days - I reside in Canada, and normally shipping is slow/costly for me. Thanks ModCloth! The dress as well was simply wonderful. The white slip is very soft and fits wonderfully - it is a little smaller than the overlay at the straps, causing them to misalign sometimes, but that's not much of a problem. It's detachable, which is very useful. I'm a 36C, measurements approx. 40-31-42 (size 10, sometimes size 8), 5"10 height, and I ordered a large. It fit perfectly (true to size) and hits about mid-thigh, maybe a bit lower for me. It's an extraodinarily flattering dress and I can't wait for warmer weather to wear it. What a dream! I'm buying from here again for sure! :)
