The dress is very cute... it definitely is short, but I expected that with the measurements. Nothing a pair of tights or a contrasting skirt underneath couldn't fix. However, the waist hits me about two inches over my natural waist, which puts the pockets where my waist is. It just doesn't work, so I'll be returning this dress. Also, the contrasting belt and button band are not grey with white/lighter grey lines like it appears in the pictures. It's dark blue with gold lines.
So cute! The material is lightweight enough for spring/summer, and the dress is clearly very well made. I'm 5'2"/121 lbs so I ordered a medium and it's a tad short but otherwise perfect. I initially liked the belt, but it wrinkles and twists easily, so I switched it out for a red belt that matches the contrasting stitching. Love the shape, love the pockets, love the color. I got three compliments from strangers when I wore it out last weekend. It's a great change from all the itty bitty strapless dresses that everyone wears in the sprint.
i love this dress! it's as nice as it looks in the photos. the texture of the fabric is forgiving if you do not like to iron, and the colors are great. the cut flatters my busty but hipless figure. i really like the versatility of it, too. plus, the flocking in the back adds a little stretch to the waistline- always a good thing when that pms bloating sets in. great dress.
