I ordered this dress to wear to a concert next week and I have so say I was a little worried about what I would discover when I opened the box. The one other dress I bought from Modcloth a while back was awful, the material unravels and I usually have to stitch it back up after every wear. Ok, but, this dress is perfect! I put it on immediately and I can't stop smiling. It is comfortable and adorable and everything I dreamed it would be. I also don't have much of a waistline but you can't tell in this dress... Very flattering. And the material is so soft and comfy! I just can't get over it. I haven't even had this dress ten minutes and I just had to log on and leave my two cents about it.
The material is thin and soft, which makes it super wearable. The dress is certainly not terrycloth--at least, not the kind of terrycloth I'm familiar with, but I can see why someone who is used to higher-quality material might think it's cheap. However, I wear it out on weekends and sometimes with a yellow blazer and skinny jeans and boots to work. Very flattering and fun. I'm a wuss when it comes to the cold, but the dress layers well, and the material truly does satisfy my warmth needs.
I don't think the dress feels like "dollar-store quality terrycloth" at all. Its comfy and warm and great for winter in the chilly northeast. It's a fun pattern and the colors are even brighter in person. Very happy with this... the only thing the belt is a little tight but that is the only thing ;)
