As I'm writing this I'm wearing this dress; it's cute; comfortable and the fabric is lightly more sateen like than the picture show; still it makes it an adorable dress. Like it was mentioned earlier it does run a bit short; now I'm 5'4" and even on me the dress is mid-high thigh range; so it just means I have to be careful about how I bend over when wearing it; it not wear a pair of capris under it. Even so I love it; I purchased the small to give it a go being a 30FF in the chest and whilst it is a little snug it still fits perfectly.. I truly love this dress.
The fabric has much more of a shine to in than you can see in the picture, and the fabric is a little stiffer than I imagined, but it is still an adorable, fun dress. I'm 5'7" and the small fits perfectly
I have to say, I am a bit disappointed with this dress. Like other reviewers have mentioned, the dress material is darker than picture, mostly due to the lining which is a plum color. The material also has a sheen to it as mentioned previously, and while I don't think it looks bad, I think it puts this dress in a weird area between casual and dressy (I would have preferred it more in the casual direction). However, I think the most disappointing thing about this dress was the cut. I expected the dress to have more of an a-line shape, but really the skirt is a straight cut. And when you combine a straight skirt with stiff polyester, it just looks unflattering. I guess my big questions are 1) Why wasn't this made with jersey? and 2) Why no fuller skirt? Overall, I just wanted the dress pictured on the site, but since I didn't get that, I am unfortunately returning it.
