I love the fit of this dress. It nips in nicely at the waist and is very figure flattering. I usually buy Large or 10/12 and this fits true to size.
I agree with the previous reviews. Firstly, my order arrived super fast...the next day in fact (thanks for the speedy delivery!). This dress is extremely cute, but is a houndstooth PRINT on stretchy/spandex-like material rather than houndstooth FABRIC. This at least means that you will be able to wear it year round, but it's different in person than the catalog picture. I ordered a size small, but was nervous when I tried it on. I'd hoped to be able to wear it to work but am still not sure if I will because it falls about five inches above my knee (I'm 5'5"), fits very snugly in the bosom, and has a slight ballooned effect in the rear, just above the waist. I have a feeling that the medium would have been too big, but maybe I just need to get used to the dress. And, yes, I do agree with a previous reviewer that the price is steep for the quality.
Super cute dress and very flattering! The only thing that disappointed me slightly was that the dress was tighter around my hips than I anticipated. I got a size S (which I usually do) and the fit was perfect everywhere, but fitted tightly around the lower part of my hips. Its not a disaster, it just looks a bit odd, considering how loose it is around my tummy and waist - not like how it looks in the picture, where its loose from the empire line down. So keep that in mind if you are tossing up about what size and have larger hips - go a size up!
