I got this skirt about a year ago in the silver, and I wasn't happy with it at all! I'm pretty petite 5'3.5 and about 115 pounds, but I am a pear shape and THIS IS NOT A SKIRT FOR PEAR SHAPE OR PETITE GIRLS! It is even puffier than the pictures let on, and this made me look like a clown. Not flattering for the figure at all. I can only see this being flattering on perhaps some tall, willowy model types. Any petite girl is going to be eaten alive by this skirt. As a whole, I LOVE Modcloth and would recommend them to anyone! I just wouldn't suggest you buy this particular product. :)
This skirt has got to be most loved piece in my entire wardrobe. I bought this skirt in both black & metallic gray. My intent for purchasing one in black was to have something elegant and classic to wear for those evenings out in the city, and for those holiday parties this season. However, this piece looks stunning worn with any blouse & looks just as darling with a plain t-shirt too! It's versatile enough to wear to school, work, or out on a date. The shape & style of the skirt is very flattering, making the waist look slimmer & legs appear longer (which every girl can appreciate). For a petite girl, like myself, I highly recommend this skirt. You'll love it! ^_^
I did not have any sizing issues with this skirt -I absolutely love it, and I get tons of compliments on it every time I wear it. It comes up quite high, a few inches under the bust, and it is a few inches above knee-length. It's a great skirt to dress down with tees for day wear, or to dress up with a beaded-collar shirt for a fancier evening.
