I say this is true to size if you are looking for shorts that give the illusion of being a pleated circle skirt. Otherwise, you may find your normal size a bit too big. I was fortunate enough to be given these as a gift and I absolutely love them. I am a big fan of high waisted skirts, but these shorts are so much more comfortable because you don't have to constantly think about sitting properly. I also love that the pleated fabric drifts away from my waist, giving me curves & making my legs look skinnier. The print is so pretty--interesting, but not too loud. Quality seems good as well. Mine came out of the washing machine great! Overall a great alternative to a high waisted skirt & if you are unsure you can rock a romper, try out these shorts first!
