I had hoped that these shorts would be the ultimate “cute, summer staple”. Upon receiving the item in the mail, I was truly impressed by the design – they’re perfectly faded, short-but-not-too-short, and can definitely be worn in both warmer months and with tights in the winter. I had also taken heed of the slight-stretch fabric and ordered a size up. Unfortunately, I don’t think that these shorts would have fit no matter the size – I ordered a size 28 and, while they fit perfectly around my hips, I couldn’t even begin to zip up the zipper. The fabric does not appear to have any stretch whatsoever. While I was tempted to order a size 30, I was hesitant to order a size that would be larger around my hips, especially since there’s no guarantee that the fabric/zipper issue would be resolved. I returned the item shortly thereafter. It is unclear to me who might fit in these shorts – slim women with wide hips but little body fat? If you are one of the few who fits this demographic, then, these shorts are super cute and will probably be a dreamy forever summer staple. The rest of us might be out of luck, though.

I got these in a 26 which is my usual size, but I didn't take into account the no-stretch fabric, so I have to get them in a bigger size now. I'll probably go a couple of sizes bigger, just to be sure.
