Wow. The parasol I received is NOT the one in these photos. I don't have the time to return it nor do I have the desire to go through all that hassle. So, I'm leaving this bad review instead. Be warned the parasol you see in the above photos does not represent at all what you will receive. I wish I could post a photo of the tan-colored scraggly cheap parasol Modcloth sent me. It's VERY ugly! The color of the parasol they sent me was a much darker brown. It was made up of cheap bits of cloth tape sewn together at harsh angles. It does not have those pretty cutouts in it that the one in the photo does and it does not have any embroidery, not like the sample they show in the close up photo. It looks SO cheap and ugly! Buyer beware!!! It is so wrong of Modcloth to put up a pic of a very different parasol. I wouldn't trust anything from them now.

The description for this parasol is spot-on, for it is certainly dreamy and charming! When going for a stroll, pair it with any outfit for an instant, feminine touch. I took this parasol for a test drive on a warm, sunny day. I was not only told I looked very sweet, but felt an instant sense of enchantment, while simultaneously protecting my eyes and skin from the sun, of course! The handle is very durable and sturdy, but my only wish is that the material was better secured to the wire frame. The strings can come loose from the wooden pieces that hold the material to the framing, so make sure to treat this parasol delicately.

This parasol is eactly as pictured-- ivory, lace and fabric, wood handle. And absolutely GORGEOUS. The nibs at the tips of the wire are even wooden! Such amazing little details. It's absolutely beautiful, and I'm so glad I bought it. I had been considering buying a paper parasol, but the prices were nearly the same, and this will be so much more durable. It's a beautiful classic, truly.
