LOVE this umbrella. it's so super cute. however, when it arrived, the shipping box was all squashed and dented because there was no filling materials inside the box. the ups guy said that they stack boxes on top of boxes, and without the filling materials, it just caves in. also, the black handle was scuffed up and the octagonal black button that you push to open the umbrella is missing (third product photo)...it's just the sharp metal piece, no pretty button. back it goes...

I bought this umbrella because I needed a larger one, and this one certainly is big enough for my needs without being overly huge. The colors are also bold, bright, and fun. On the down side... like the previous reviewer, mine also shipped without any type of absorbing impact material. Fortunately, the box was not smashed or damaged. That's a minor issue, but I thought I would mention it since the previous reviewer did. On a more important note, the little black octagonal button is practically non-functional. When I close the umbrella, the black button doesn't latch properly. I actually have to pull the button out so the metal piece will clasp and keep the umbrella shut; if I don't, the umbrella just pops back open again. The metal frame within the canopy seems a bit filmsy, too. I won't send it back because it's a bit too much trouble (and I needed the new umbrella!) but if I had seen it in person, I'm not sure I would have paid the price for these shaky defects.
