Just got this in the mail today, and was so excited as we have rain in our forecast for tomorrow. Unfortunately, I didn't have it open for a minute when it collapsed on me. When that happened, all of the spokes came out of their holders on the vinyl, and one hit me in the eye. Thinking it was a one time thing, I opened the umbrella again. I lifted the umbrella over my head and it collapsed again! So now I have an umbrella that doesn't work but looks pretty and a welt over my eye which does not look pretty.

I love, love, LOVE the looks of this umbrella! It's wonderfully large (to cover both me and my insanely large backpack) and the flower design on the clear PVC is so cute! Here comes the bad part (and the entire reason I gave this umbrella a horrible review)... Despite seeing Jessica's review I decided to order the umbrella thinking my experience with it would be different. It wasn't. :( Though it arrived in seemingly perfect condition (no damage during shipping like Monika had), it simply wouldn't stay open!! I plan on exchanging it out in hopes of getting an umbrella that will stay open, and when I do hopefully I will be able to post a better review. Until then, I will stay optimistic!!

This umbrella is so cute and I was super excited to use it for the first time! Unfortunately I had the same experience as the previous reviewers. I opened it up and it immediately came apart. All the spokes came out of the holders and the plastic flapped in the wind. Plus, it is so huge that it is hard to carry around. Fortunately Modcloth has an easy return policy!
