The Shaman Necklace
As someone who has been continuously fascinated by Native American culture since attending the Paumanauke Pow-Wow in Long Island, New York at the age of 11, and as someone who already owns a number of turquoise, leather, and beaded accessories from various tribes, this necklace really caught my eye as something that I would like to add to my collection. When I drape this necklace down my chest, I can't help but recall images of the movie Dances with Wolves and, in particular, the scene in which Wind In His Hair trades his chest armor for John Dunbar's military coat, indicating the beginning of the trusting friendship to come. In the same regard, I hope that you will trust me when I tell you that this medicine bag-style necklace, featuring a flat band of black beads adorned with white, red, and green designs and multiple colors of beads strung to create a fringe at the bottom, is sure to be the accessory that will cure any apathy you may have toward your current wardrobe by adding a tribal touch to any outfit. Get one for yourself, then show a loving spirit toward your best friend by giving her or him one, too, as a symbol of your alliance in style! -Richard, Fashion Writer
