Elk Encounter Necklace
If we listen closely, we can hear the bugling of the majestic elk ricocheting off the grand Redwoods just beyond this meadow. Using their vibrant vocal cords, the elk bugle, or howl, to communicate with other elk. Ah, hearken! Now the thundering hooves of a galloping herd of elk exploding through the forest to feast on the calcium rich grasses and clover of this fine spring meadow. (Hours of televised nature documentaries flood through my mind as the pendant on this necklace takes me from my desk at the office to that very meadow.) Oh look! A bull is approaching us. Curious perhaps. The beauteous beast slows his trot and bows his head. Its handsome visage emerges, ebony eyes meeting our own, framed in lush pinks and violets of the wood's flora and a circle scalloped golden sunlight. Towering evergreens dramatically fade into the dusky sky as the elk greets us with a resounding bugle. (I swear I can hear it at my desk.) His crown of velvety antlers remind us that he is king of these lands, yet his proximity is so intimate that we feel welcome in them. This experience can be forever captured in a photograph or a film strip, and most stylishly on a dainty, long golden chain. Wear with an organic look of rich browns, hunter greens and earrings of equal love for nature. -Angela, Fashion Writer

Been loving this necklace since I first saw it! Can't decide if I prefer wearing it long or with the chain wrapped once around, looks great both ways!
I wear it almost every day ! From now, its my favorite necklace without a doubt. Original and classy.
I loved this necklace as soon as I saw this page... the perfect size, and so cute. The only problem is that when I received it, there was a scratch on the elk's face... it's not "unwearable", but it looks like the elk is crying. So it's not as cute as it could have been, but I'm afraid to touch it up with marker.
We're sorry to hear about the scratch on your new necklace. I'll send an email with a few solutions.
