My Braid in Manhattan Belt came today with the Mon Petit Chou dress, and as suggested by ModCloth, they look adorable together! This belt is a tiny bit larger around my 30-inch waist than I expected (I had to use all but one of the holes). Since I have a high waist and not much hips, belts tend to slide down more than they would on someone with a more defined waist. That said, the substantial 3-inch width kept this belt right where it should be. One thing I feel the need to point out is that when ModCloth says "vegan-friendly leather," they actually mean synthetic materials, not real leather. I was hoping for recycled leather (i.e. vegan-friendly because no animals were harmed just to make the belt). But the material is strong and attractive, and even with the slight confusion about the item description, I give this belt five out of five stars!

Ok, this belt is so much bigger than I expected! I was very suprised! But I LOVE the buckle! And it IS NOT CHEAP. This belt has quality. I'm very glad I got this item! It goes very well with unfitting dresses and HEY, it may even go with nice fitting dresses. There are many possibilities. Life is a run way. Rock it.

I think I snagged the last belt, which makes me feel sorry for anyone reading this because it is fabulous. I'd been eyeing it for months and am glad I took the plunge because it's high quality AND vegan. It's roomier than expected, as others have mentioned, because the design, oddly, makes it impossible to cinch the belt to the very last hole. It would be nice to be able to tighten it one more notch so I could wear it a bit higher for an empire look, but as it is it sits very nicely on my 28-29 inch waist. I've been seeking a belt like this for months and I can already tell it's going to be a wardrobe staple. P.S. I'll be wearing it with The Pollock Dress to work tomorrow - so cute!
