Bag is 18 inches wide and 16 inches tall when folded over. When unfolded, bag is 22 inches tall. Strap is 21 inches long and does fit on shoulder. Removable strap adjusts from 27.5 to 47 inches and also fits on shoulder.

Gorgeous bag. Beautiful midnight black suede and such good value for a genuine leather product. It has two handles and can be carried as a shoulder bag (more comfortable I think) or across the body. It is oversized but I love that look - it's in the style of the olsen twins or nicole richie - very cool. You could even carry a laptop in there! Because it's leather it is heavy though. Also the black dye rubbed off on my hands so don't wear it against light clothing for the first few wears. But I am thrilled with it.
Very cute bag, but i think the handle that they show is too small for such a large bag. I know it's a carry all but I think it may be a little too big. It's more of a book bag or overnight bag than a purse. I'm not sure if I'm going to keep it; I may try and get used to the proportions.
