I love this bag! I'm a law student and I have TONS! of heavy books that I need to carry with me all the time. This bag is perfect for it! It is roomier than it looks. I use the straps because it seems to distribute the weight better. The zipper can get caught at times, but it seems to work just fine overall. I've received many many compliments on this bag!
So far I really like this bag. It's roomy enough for a day's worth of text books and notebooks, plus my umbrella and wallet, but doesn't appear clunky even when stuffed to the brim. I do wish the zipper opened a bit wider, to make removing larger books easier. The magnetic snap pocket on the outside is a nice touch, as is the animal print lining. I thought I would prefer using the removeable shoulder strap, but the short leather handles are actually much more sturdy. If you need to carry your laptop and/or several extra heavy text books, this bag probably wouldn't work, but for a light to medium load it's a gorgeous bag!
DO NOT BUY! The zipper broke the very first time I used it. If it were 12 bucks I'd say go for it. It is cute, but for $64, no way!
