I purchased this dress because I absolutely love it! Once it arrived (a week later) I tried it on and it was a little too big in the bust area. It fit in the waist and falls above the knee. Also, when it arrived its not the cream looking color in the picture. There are some silver threads woven in but its still gorgeous. Its my first purchase from modcloth and I don't regret it!
I normally wear a size 6, but I put on a few pounds in the last few months, so I opted for size L to be on the safe side. I really should have gotten a size M, though. The dress is gorgeous and absolutely adorable. It is the color of white sand, a little darker than pictured. I wish it was a little bit lighter, but only because I am wearing this dress at my own wedding. Yes folks, I love this dress so much, I am getting married in it. The material and construction are nice and sturdy, good for autumn or winter wear. So why 4 out of 5? Because I had to get the dress altered. It was taken in considerably (not a bad thing -- I'm quite flattered), and it is generously sized compared to some of Mod Cloth's other offerings. But I have to ding ModCloth one point for offering flat measurements instead of real measurements.
This dress was so beautiful when it arrived. I am six feet tall and rather busty (D/DD) and normally wear a size 12/14 in dresses. Though i loved the dress, the large was too big for me. Had i opted for the size medium, i beleive this dress would have been all around success. Modcloth is truly the greatest.
