Bubby's Matryoshkas Measuring Cups
This set of six dry measuring cups by Fred instantly reminded me of my loving grandmother, her fondness of baking delicious, decadent cookies, and her proud Slovakian ancestry, about which, if you're interested, she will gladly elucidate you for hours on end. Luckily, I inherited her love for baking. In particular, I adore making cupcakes - super sugary ones, with smashed cookies in the batter, ample amounts of ridiculously creamy, smooth, cavity-inducing frosting, tasty coatings of colorful sprinkles, and - okay, sorry, I'll stop there. In addition to being fully functional kitchen gadgets, the matryoshka doll facade of these nesting measuring cups makes them ideal for decorating my barren counter top. I quickly grabbed these last time they were in stock. They are super cute - and measure acturately. I did anticipate the plastic to be a little thicker than it was, but that is just a minor comment. I wish I had gotten others for gifts. I recommend!
I was fortunate enough to buy a set of these before they went out of stock. I absolutly love these measuring cups. tehy are so fun to bake with. I also love the fact that when I'm not using them, they can sit on the counter as a kitchen decoration.
I love these measuring cups. They are accurate, give you more than the standard 1/4 1/3 1/2 1c measurements which is awesome. I thought the plastic was thick enough. They dont flex when I squeeze them i acctually expected them to be weaker and was pleasantly surprised. I love how they stack inside eachother and think its great because this way they dont collect dust and you dont have to clean them before you use them. My mother, sisters, boyfriend and dad all thought they were very clever. The numbers inside are slightly hard to read at first but you quickly memorize them.
