I found this book to be immensely helpul. It not only gave you tips on how to be socially beautiful and to recognize your social faux pas, like interaction with men and in the work place, but it also gave you great pointers on fashion and health. For example, it helps to clarify to thin line between an outfit that could easily go in the direction of ultra chic or of being tacky. In addition, it gave you nice health care tips. Plus, it's charming in the fact that it was written in the thirties, and features the lingo of the time, and cute little drawings from then too. I would recommend it!

this book itself is so charming! originally published in the '30s, the advice inside can still be applied and practiced by the modern woman interested in living a healthy, chic, and well-mannered life. just goes to show that the elements of charm truly are timeless!
