Who are you?
Amanda Nowotny. 23. Texan by birth, Pittsburgher by naturalization. Currently residing on the Western PA horse farm where I've lived (to varying degrees) for the past 10 years. Fun fact: Alicia and I went to rival hick schools on opposite sides of New Castle, PA.

What do you do at ModCloth?
I handle administrative duties for Eric and other incredibly busy ModCloth employees. I also have a hand in HR, marketing/professional writing, editing, and occasionally a little customer care.

What do you like about working at ModCloth?
The people here are hands down the greatest thing about ModCloth. Other plusses include: the fun and ever-changing environment, always having small furry creatures around to play with, and the office obsession with cupcakes and bacon. And I suppose being constantly surrounded by fabulous clothing doesn't hurt much either.

What are your other interests & hobbies?
I'm a spectacularly shameless music geek, specializing in classical piano, the history of 60s and 70s pop music, and waxing nostalgic about my days in Pitt Band. I also count cooking, eating, and throwing dinner parties among my major hobbies. I adore animals, and nothing cheers me up like coming home to a brood of dogs, cats, and horses that are always happy to see me. Slightly less major obsessions that I indulge when I have the time and/or money include theater, movies, and traveling.

Are you a Winston or a Blue?
Such a Winston. And by that I mean singularly focused on food and sleep.

What else would you like to tell our customers about yourself?
I'm a recent University of Pittsburgh graduate with degrees in Music and Politics-Philosophy and am constantly being asked what my job has to do with those degrees. The answer: not much of anything. And it doesn't matter.
