The Jolly Post Clutch

My childhood bookshelf was chock-full of classics, from "Strega Nona" to "The Tough Princess." None of these wonderful reads, however, compared to "The Jolly Postman." Like perusing the pages of this book, opening the nested envelopes and reading their enclosed letters, this surreal clutch engenders gleeful feelings of discovery, delight, and innovation. Designed to look like a letter, complete with sewn-on, stamp-style patches and printed postmarks, this gold bag would be the letter the postman delivers to the fun-loving, fashion-savvy girl. I can nearly see it written into the pages of the book. He presents her with the clutch, she serves him a cup of tea, and off he goes on his merry way. Later on, she fills the golden letter with necessities - her driver's license in the clear ID window on the underside of the magnetic, snapped flap, a card or two in the interior slots, a slim camera in the inside compartment, and a few dollars in the exterior front pocket. Then, she dons her silky, black, A-line dress and vibrant, red pumps, and heads to a Cinderella-worthy ball. Or, she slips into metallic leggings, cuffed black shorts, flat booties, and a printed tee, and sets out for a Goldilocks-like birthday party. No matter where she's going or what she's wearing, with this awesome accessory in hand, she'll always have a fairytale time. -Hannah, Fashion Writer
