Underground travel is one of your many fortes, and so is pulling together an enchanting ensemble. This chic, yet completely comfortable skirt from Knitted Dove is you go-to garment for going from neighborhood to neighborhood. With its thick knit, front buttoned flap with grey trim, and flexible back, this skirt looks marvelous with your Peter Pan-collared blouse, sheer stockings, and basket weave flats.

  • 80% Cotton, 20% Polyester.
  • Fabric provides stretch. Elasticized waist provides approximately 2 inches of stretch.
  • Hand wash cold. Do not bleach. Lay flat to dry. Warm iron if needed. Dry cleanable.
  • Unlined. Front button closure. Additional button included. Pockets at hips.

I am the girl in that photo! My hips are slightly out of the XL range, but I wanted to try the skirt anyway. I am glad I did! It is stretchy so I fit into quite well, it is a little tight around my bum but that was to be expected. This skirt is a little short on me as you can see, but I am 5'11! Great skirt overall, and goes with so much!

I had slightly higher hopes for this skirt. It was a bit pricey, so I read the reviews and double checked the measurements before purchasing. Once I got it, I realized I should have gotten a size down, but the size was gone. I figured I'd just get it tailored, and wore the skirt once. Two buttons fell off upon that wearing, and a third (the top one) was loose when I took it to have it brought in. The top button hole is vertical, which means it's stretched out weirdly and the tailor told me had the button hole been horizontal, it wouldn't look so elongated. Paid the tailor $25 to bring the skirt in and for the buttons. For the price point, wish this had been better described as to fit and the buttons had at least stayed on through one wear.

When I saw this skirt, I knew it was a "must have". It is beautifully tailored to be really flattering. The buttons are secure, and waist is extremely comfortable. It is so versatile too! I've worn it with plain teal t-shirts to elegant blouses, and it works perfectly every time. The one downside however, is the length. I am a big fan of mini skirts, I have too many to count. But, this one was just a bit too short. Because of the A-line style, and its real shortness, it is completely necessary to wear shorts or leggings underneath. I really would recommend this skirt, but, just make sure you have a suitable pair of shorts of leggings to pair it with.
