Out of the box, the skirt is a nice thick material that makes me think durable, but classy. Tried it on and it hits right above my knee, which is perfect. Was surprised about the fit through the waist and hips. I'm a medium waist, but small hip (even though I carry my weight in my hips) and went for the medium just to have a little more room in the skirt. Because of this the waist is a bit big and has to be pulled down, so it lays below my natural waist. The skirt is an A-line, but hugs my hips and my butt before it flairs out (which makes me think the Small would have been too small). So this means it hugs all of my self-conscious spots, but the mom (who is my biggest clothing critic) thought it fit well as long as I wear the correct underwear (slight TMI, but things to keep in mind). In all, it's a higher waisted, fitted skirt that flares into an A-line slightly below the hip. This is a retro look (think Pink ladies from Grease) that I'm new too, but I think it will work out. In all I am happy with it and will keep it.

This is a nice enough skirt. I like the subtle pattern and it is long enough for work. I didn't like the way the seams felt. They were a bit strange and didn't feel like they were laying properly when I had the skirt on. The material is nice, thicker than I thought it would be, and it zips easy enough. I will still be wearing this skirt a lot, I just don't like the way the seams feel.

Very Good
So, I'm a short (5' 1.5'') woman with large hips and thighs. I often wear A-Line dresses and skirts. I was skeptical at first with this skirt, but I liked the look of the length (it hits right about the knee on me) and the fact that it's a neutral gray with a bit of detail. I ordered a large, because of my hips, and it's a bit big for my natural waist, and it definitely hugs my hips. Instead of acting like a mermaid skirt, it acts like a long pencil skirt, and is quite flattering!! I wore it for Christmas, and it was comfortable and lovely! I only give it four stars because I will have to wear my tops tucked-in, and because of the form-fitting top part of the skirt, if the shirt isn't just right, it'll bunch up and create issues with constant adjustment. Bottom line: Would recommend it, even for large-hipped honeys, like myself!
