I wore this skirt to my office Christmas party and received lots of compliments! The pleating does add volume at the hips, but with a tucked in top, you can tell it's just the shape of the skirt.

I LOVE this skirt! Yes, the top does make me look more hippy than I am, but I would like my hips to be a little wider, so that's no problem for me. The length is flattering, even for someone as lacking in height as I am, and it is super comfortable. The waist is a tiny bit tighter than most mediums, but aside from that, I have zero complaints. My boyfriend tells me all eyes are on the skirt when we're out - it is definitely a piece that will be noticed!
